We're a growing company passionate about good food that happens to be vegetarian and vegan!

The Gate has been one of the best vegetarian restaurants in London since our founder, Michael Daniel, and his brother opened their first restaurant in Hammersmith in 1989. We now have 3 locations across London.

We're all about fresh, seasonal produce and friendly service and we're now looking for a passionate AGM to join our team

.



We are looking for an AGM who will be managing the restaurant's FOH and our beautiful team. The duties of this role include creation of a weekly rota for the staff, ordering Bar supplies, stocktakes and keeping high standards in regards of service and organisation.

Supporting the Owner in growing the company

The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge and lot of passion for Hospitality, enjoys promoting healthy plant-based food. Leadership and positive attitude are a must.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service in a fast-paced environment is greatly desired.

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:



Take food and drink orders from guests accurately and with a positive attitude. Write guests food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff. Engage with guests in a friendly manner. Knowledge of the menu, with the ability to make suggestions. Ensure tables are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Collect payments from tables. Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes. Help food preparation staff when necessary. Preparing the weekly Rota for the staff. Ordering fruits and beverages from our suppliers. Stocktakes. Must be proficient in Word, Excel etc.

Assistant General Manager Requirements:



Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with bussers, cooks, and other staff. Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised. Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system. High school diploma. Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner. Charisma.
