Job Description

Symonds & Sampson LLP seeks an administrator to join the Agricultural Auctions department working out of the Yeovil office. This exciting role will suit a highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail, and who is passionate about supporting rural and agricultural business.

The successful candidate will become a key member of a dynamic team specialising in onsite, online and hybrid auctions, ensuring the smooth running of our busy office and auction operations. As the administrator, they will ensure that everything from marketing catalogues to client communications is handled with precision and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



Provide general administrative support to the auctioneers and office team Prepare and manage sale documentation, including catalogues, listings, and invoices Manage promotion of auctions, to include advertising and social media Maintain accurate records and databases Liaise with vendors and buyers Assist in the coordination of on-site and online auctions Handle incoming calls, emails, and walk-in enquiries

KEY SKILLS



A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle Strong organisational and communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic digital tools Ability to multitask and work under pressure, particularly on auction days A professional and friendly manner, with a team-focused attitude An interest in agriculture or rural business

TERMS



Starting Date

: As soon possible but negotiable for the right candidate

Hours

: Monday - Friday 9.00 - 17.30 with some flexibility for out of hours work for weekend/evening auction This position is full time, however some flexibility to a minimum of the equivalent to four days a week may be considered

Salary

: 24,000-26,000 depending on experience, and based on full time hours

Location

: The role will largely be office-based in Yeovil, with onsite work at sales as required

THE OFFICE

The Yeovil Office is situated on Court Ash, Yeovil. It is a multi-disciplinary office, home to Residential Sales, Lettings, Commercial, Agricultural Auctions, Rural, Valuation and Professional Departments.
