Advanced Technical Trainers \xe2\x80\x93 Agricultural Engineering

Advanced Technical Trainers (ATTs) are key to inspiring and developing the next generation of engineers working in partnership with prominent national and local employers.

Salary:

  • This role has the potential to earn up to \xc2\xa345,000 per annum due to access to industry sponsored supplement for exceptional candidates with industry relevant skills and experience
  • Standard salary is up to \xc2\xa335,622 per year increasing to \xc2\xa336,691 from 1 October (plus employer pension contribution of up to \xc2\xa38,688 per year)
  • There is also potential of a welcome bonus of up to \xc2\xa35,000 paid over two years
The government\xe2\x80\x99s Taking Teaching Further programme offers the opportunity for eligible candidates to access funded teacher training and for 2023 is piloting incentive payments (\xc2\xa33,000 at the end of year one and \xc2\xa33,000 at the end of year two), places are limited. The scheme also provides support to help your transition into FE teaching.

Status: Permanent contract, working full time (37 hours per week)

As an ATT you will:
  • Plan and deliver practical and theory-based teaching sessions to apprentices.
  • Assess their progress against industry standards and quality assure training delivery.
  • Work with national and local employers.
  • Gain teaching skills and relevant qualifications to enhance your career
  • Work within exceptional state of the art facilities with industry specific resources

Ideally you will:
  • Have a minimum level 3 qualification within an Engineering related vocational area (or be willing to work towards one)
  • Have Level 2 Maths & English qualifications
  • Have experience working as an engineer focusing on equipment service, maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery
  • Have excellent people skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Be willing to participate in training to improve and further your skills
