Role Purpose:
It is essential that the candidate has previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer, ideally you will have worked within agriculture and/or groundcare, however, we will also consider technicians who have worked in the construction, industrial and commercial sectors.
You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of customer's agricultural/groundcare machinery along with maintenance of our own contract hire fleet. Including PDI of new equipment; servicing, breakdown diagnosis & repair etc.
You will be expected to maintain the company's current high standards, you will have the opportunity to attend manufactures training courses on a regular basis
Qualifications and Skills
Good communication skills: face to face, telephone & email
Organised with attention to detail
Enjoy working in a busy atmosphere with the ability to cope well under pressure
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Demonstrable knowledge of agricultural or groundcare machinery
Full driving licence
A flexible approach to working hours is essential
A team player-capable of working alone or with the broader Sharrocks team
Maintaining a smart and professional appearance incorporating Company attire

Additional Information:
Start Date: Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
Location: Wigan, WN6 9RF
Hours: 40hrs / week basic - 8am to 5pm,
Overtime Paid at time and a half on completion of 40hrs Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Full time, Hourly Paid
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
