Blackcircles.com is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled AI & Insights Specialist to join our Marketing team and contribute to our next phase of growth. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in applying AI and machine learning techniques to unlock valuable business insights, develop intelligent solutions, and improve our understanding of customer behaviour and market trends. This role will collaborate with various teams across the organisation to drive data-informed decision-making and contribute to the creation of AI solutions for all departments.

As an AI & Insights Specialist at Blackcircles.com, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions and generating data-driven insights that help us improve departmental effectiveness, enhance customer experiences, and optimise business operations. You will work with large datasets, utilise machine learning algorithms, and translate complex data into actionable recommendations for various teams.

Championing a customer-first, data-driven culture, your role will include helping define project goals, developing AI models and solutions, tracking performance, and reporting on the impact of AI-driven initiatives, all based on a pre-determined set of goals.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

AI Solution Development

: Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions using machine learning techniques to address business problems across various areas, such as marketing and commercial optimisation, customer segmentation, personalisation, and predictive modelling.

Insight Generation

: Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities, providing actionable insights that inform business decisions and drive improvements in key performance indicators (KPIs).

Data Exploration and Preprocessing

: Clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis and model training, ensuring data quality and integrity.

Tool Building and Evaluation

: Select appropriate AI models and machine learning algorithms, build, deploy and optimise new tools, and evaluate their performance using relevant metrics.

Collaboration

: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, technology, commercial and business stakeholders, to understand their needs and deliver impactful solutions.

Communication

: Communicate complex technical concepts and analytical findings to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner, using data visualisation tools and storytelling techniques.

Experimentation

: Design and implement tests and other experiments to validate hypotheses and optimise AI-powered solutions.

Monitoring and Maintenance

: Monitor the performance of AI models, identify areas for improvement, and maintain the accuracy and reliability of these models.

Staying up to date

: Keep abreast of the latest developments in AI, machine learning, and data analytics, and evaluate their potential application to our business. Adhere to the appropriate development and testing practices. Collaborate with teams to analyse the results of different website changes to provide insights to the wide business. Support the regular monitoring and reporting of data-driven marketing campaigns. Participate in the work analysis and reporting frameworks for new website development and marketing strategies. Work with different teams to continually analyse and identify trends relating to consumer behaviour and insights. Evaluate and implement new AI, data, or marketing technologies to continuously optimise the workflow
Key Personal Criteria:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrable curiosity and ability to find trends. Proven experience in data analysis and reporting roles, including statistical analysis and data visualisation. Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, such as regression, classification, clustering, and deep learning. Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets in cloud-based data warehouses. Experience with using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, with a focus on BigQuery for data warehousing and analysis. Hands-on experience with Vertex AI Studio. Demonstrated ability in prompt engineering techniques for optimising the interaction and performance of generative AI models. Familiarity with using Vertex AI foundation models using prompt engineering techniques. Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio. Experience with, and ability to use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics including GA4, Google Big Query and Looker Studio. Fluent in Microsoft Suite - specifically Excel. Ideally educated to degree level in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or Marketing but this is not a pre-requisite. Attention to quality, detail and accuracy is required. Confident to work from own initiative. Proactive attitude to work with many people.
