AI Platform Lead

to help drive that transformation. This newly created, high impact role sits at the heart of our AI strategy, where you'll design and lead the evolution of our AI platforms enabling teams across the business to innovate with speed, confidence, and responsibility.



You'll take full ownership of our AI infrastructure, designing and scaling platforms that power real-world solutions. Working hands-on with technologies like Azure AI Foundry, Kubernetes, Terraform, and MLflow, you'll collaborate with architects, data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure our platforms meet evolving needs. As a leader, you'll grow and guide a team of platform engineers, shape platform and vendor roadmaps, and embed best practices that set the standard for AI excellence at AA.

What will I be doing?



Own the platform roadmap and scale our AI platforms, ensuring platform capabilities aligned to strategic business goals and objectives. Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights and recommendations on platform strategy and execution. Proactively identifying, managing, and communicating platform level risks and issues. Define and implement best practices for AI/ML/LLM operations. Drive automation and cost efficiency across cloud resources. Ensure platform governance, compliance, security and data privacy. Lead Platform Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and evaluate emerging technologies. Champion collaboration across teams and vendors to align on strategy and innovation.

What do I need?



Strong technical expertise in platform engineering and architecture. Strong coding skills for building and maintaining platform components. Experience managing and optimising environments to ensure stability and security. Proficiency in modern DevOps practices: IaC, CI/CD, containerisation. A problem-solving mindset with a passion for scalable, clean solutions. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. Proven ability to excel in a dynamic environment and work effectively with ambiguity. A commitment to inclusive leadership and continuous improvement.
