We are seeking an experienced

AI Product Manager

with deep knowledge of the legal domain to lead the development of AI-powered products that transform how legal professionals work. You will own the vision, strategy, and execution for AI features and systems that support tasks such as legal research, document automation, contract analysis, compliance workflows, and matter management.

This role blends product leadership, applied AI expertise, and legal domain fluency.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

Define the long-term product strategy for AI capabilities across our legal tech portfolio. Identify high-impact opportunities where AI can deliver measurable value, improving accuracy, speed, compliance, or cost efficiency in legal workflows. Conduct competitive, regulatory, and market landscape analyses to inform product direction.

AI/ML Product Development

Partner with engineering, data science, and UX to translate legal problems into AI-driven solutions. Define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success metrics for AI features. Oversee the lifecycle of AI models (classification, extraction, summarization, RAG, LLM fine-tuning, etc.), including data sources, training needs, evaluation standards, and human-in-the-loop workflows. Ensure model performance meets legal-grade quality, reliability, and safety thresholds.

Legal Domain Expertise

Understand legal workflows such as contract lifecycle management, e-discovery, compliance reviews, due diligence, case law research, litigation support, and document drafting. Translate legal concepts into structured product insights, including risks, edge cases, constraints, and user expectations. Work closely with legal SMEs, law firms, corporate legal teams, and regulatory stakeholders to validate solutions.

Governance, Ethics & Compliance

Ensure adherence to privacy, confidentiality, and attorney-client privilege requirements. Implement processes for responsible AI usage, including model explainability, auditability, and risk mitigation. Partner with security and compliance teams to maintain regulatory alignment (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, AI Act, etc., depending on jurisdiction).

Metrics & Execution

Define and monitor KPIs such as model accuracy, cost efficiency, user adoption, and workflow completion rates. Drive experimentation frameworks including A/B testing, evaluation pipelines, and quality assurance processes. Manage the product roadmap, execution timeline, and cross-functional communication.

Required Qualifications

4-8+ years of experience in product management (or equivalent) with at least 2+ years working on AI/ML or data-driven products. Demonstrated experience working in legal tech or directly within the legal field (law degree, paralegal work, legal operations, or legal tech product background). Strong understanding of LLMs, NLP, information retrieval, and/or knowledge systems. Ability to translate complex legal workflows and AI capabilities into intuitive, outcome-focused products. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across legal, technical, and business teams. Experience working in fast-paced, iterative product environments.

Preferred Qualifications

J.D., LL.M., or formal legal training (highly valued but not required). Experience with contract analysis tools, e-discovery, CLM platforms, or legal research systems. Familiarity with prompt engineering, model evaluation frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and fine-tuning techniques. Experience with responsible AI frameworks or compliance-sensitive software. Background working with structured legal data, ontologies, or knowledge graphs.

Success Indicators

Launches AI features that materially improve legal team productivity and accuracy. Drives measurable adoption and customer satisfaction among legal professionals. Ensures AI systems behave reliably in high-stakes legal contexts. Maintains a clear, well-communicated product roadmap aligned with business outcomes. * Develops trusted partnerships with engineering teams and legal SMEs.
