We are looking to hire an experienced AC Engineer to install, maintain and repair domestic and commercial systems. Work is based in and around the South West England, however we do go outside this area on some occasions.
Our office is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire.
The Engineer will be FGAS qualified and skilled at installation of both residential and commercial projects. In addition they will be competent at problem solving, cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. They will be responsible for air quality systems, from installation to end-of-life, by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs.
To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, attention to detail, excellence in delivery and safety, should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient, and have excellent problem solving, organizational and troubleshooting skills. Good communication and reliability are key.
AC Engineer Responsibilities:
Installing, maintaining and repairing air conditioning systems in timely manner to the highest standards.. (Experience in VRF and ventilation systems are beneficial)
Identifying maintenance issues and risks on equipment.
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for AC systems
Repairing systems, and performing services.
Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
Providing technical direction and on-the-job training to more junior members of the team. (Beneficial)
Keeping daily logs and records of all installation and maintenance functions.
Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
Assisting with customers' queries.
AC Engineer Requirements:
Hold current FGAS qualification.
2+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in AC and HVAC field.
Valid driver's license.
Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration.
Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
Ability to work in confined spaces.

Pay: 30,000.00-45,000.00 per year
