NEW!! Top industry training available - become a skilled professional in our growing industry with the newly launched SVQ qualification in Ventilation Hygiene .
Why this New Qualification Important
On June 14, 2017, a fire broke out in Grenfell Tower, London, resulting in the tragic death of 72 people. In the immediate aftermath, the UK Government commissioned Dame Judith Hackitt MBE to undertake an independent review of building regulations and fire safety to develop recommendations to prevent a similar tragedy from happening again.
One key development has been a competence framework standard for the built environment, setting out principles and core competence requirements for safety-critical professions and trades.
Ventilation Hygiene has become increasingly important and the cleaning of industrial and commercial ventilation systems now requires that people should have their skills and knowledge documented and certificated, against the National Occupational Standards. This position will give you the opportunity to achieve what is fast becoming the legal minimum compliance requirement.
What you'll gain
An SCQF Level 5 Ventilation Hygiene qualification offering the opportunity for installation and maintenance roles.
You will immediately be registered for a red trainee SKILLcard or, if you have been working in the industry for five years, a Blue Experienced Worker SKILLcard.
Starting pay is depending on experience in the industry.
