Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, this is a pivotal, high-impact role that requires a strategic and results oriented leader with exceptional planning skills. This role will grow and lead a team of skilled project managers.


Key Responsibilities:


Programme Leadership & Delivery:


Lead the end-to-end management of complex, multi-disciplinary air programmes, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and meets all technical, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Develop, maintain, and rigorously control the integrated programme plan, schedule, budget, and Work Breakdown Structure.
Drive accountability across all functional areas, ensuring cohesive programme execution.
Champion and maintain clear programme governance, documentation, and reporting standards for both internal and external stakeholders.


Stakeholder and Customer Management:


Act as the primary interface and trusted advisor for key government and commercial customers.
Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, key suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
Support complex contract negotiations, changes, and scope adjustments to protect the company's interests and ensure customer satisfaction.


Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management:


Proactively identify, analyse, and mitigate programme risks and manage issues, developing robust contingency plans.
Identify and capture programme opportunities (technical, commercial, and schedule) to maximise profitability and performance.


Team Leadership & Organisational Growth:


Lead and motivate a multi-functional programme team.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's Programme Management processes, tools, and best practices to support future growth and scalability.
Mentor and develop staff, contributing to the professional growth of the programme management function.


Required Skills & Experience:


Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
8-10 years of progressive experience in Programme/Program Management within the Aerospace, Defence, or high-tech engineering industry.
Proven track record of successfully managing multi-million dollar, complex programmes involving air platforms, systems, or components.
Deep understanding of the Aerospace/Defence industry's product lifecycle, including design, development, certification, production, and in-service support.
Expertise in formal Programme Management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, APM) and tools.
Exceptional leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse, cross-functional team.
Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and managing programme profitability (P&L).
Must be eligible to work with military/defence technology and information as required by relevant regulations.
