Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various heating systems (Air Source Heat Pump and Boilers) in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires a hands-on approach to assembling, plumbing, and maintaining heating systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair Air Source Heat Pumps and Boilers in residential and commercial properties. Assemble components of heating systems using hand tools and power tools. Perform plumbing tasks related to heating installations and repairs. Conduct regular inspections of heating equipment to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot issues with heating systems and implement effective solutions. Carry out heavy lifting as required during installations or repairs. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently. Adhere to safety regulations and best practices while on-site.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in heating system installation and maintenance. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is advantageous for transporting equipment. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as part of the job requirements. Basic maths skills for measuring and calculating dimensions accurately. Experience or skills in carpentry or welding would be beneficial but not essential. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively.
