Doncaster Sheffield Airport is preparing to relaunch, in preparation for this we are seeking to appoint Air Traffic Services Assistants to be part of new and exciting team who will be involved in helping the airport to open and grow.

You'll play a key part in ensuring safety by providing operational, technical and administrative support to the Fly Doncaster Air Traffic Control team.
About the Role
This role will provide operational support across the Air Traffic Services team working on a variety of different work streams to deliver a safe and efficient service. Working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders no two days will be the same.
This role will be primarily shift-based to support 24/7 operations as Airport operations grow. You'll work in a professional, supportive, and disciplined team that values integrity, teamwork, and safety above all. In return, you'll gain valuable experience in air traffic operations and have the chance to contribute directly to maintaining one of the UK's safest regional airports.
For candidates who excel in the ATSA role, there may be opportunities considered (subject to eligibility) for the Air Traffic Control Officer (ATCO) trainee scheme, a structured development programme that can lead to becoming an Air Traffic Control Officer -- a highly sought-after and well-rewarded career path.
Key responsibilities include:
Supporting Air Traffic Controllers in both Tower and Radar environments to maintain safe, efficient operations
Conducting meteorological observations critical to flight safety
Delivering a range of operational and administrative support, including managing regulatory documentation and producing amendments to ATC procedures
Participating in safety investigations, supporting the Safety Management System (SMS), and carrying out risk assessments
Operating the ATC 3D simulator, developing and running training exercises in coordination with the Unit Training Manager
Supporting the Head of Air Traffic Services in delivering internal training, safety improvement projects and audits
Maintaining high standards of document control and working closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure compliance and safety
