Position: Aircraft cleaner and Operational support assistant
Grade: P
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Location: East Midlands Airport
Salary: 28,173.04
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Rotational Days, 07:00am - 19:00pm
PLEASE NOTE: The role is based within an Airport. You will be required to under-go Security Vetting Processes (including a criminal record check) if you are to be successful for this position.
No two days on our Aviation contract are the same! You will play an integral role in the ground handling operation, working to tight timeframes but delivering fantastic results.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Cleaning cargo aircraft to a high standard
• Ability to work quickly and to meet tight deadlines
• Ensuring that you comply with all security processes at East Midlands Airport
• Operate all equipment, as per training, to meet safety expectations
• Working in a safe and tidy manner
• Cleaning of Pilot lounge including drink, coffee machine and food replenishment tasks
• Making of crew beds and cleaning bedrooms, organisation of linen delivery and collection
• Making up aircraft bedding packs
• Cleaning of Engineering hangar including use of ride on scrubber
• Completing catering requests and packing of catering

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Takes pride in their work
• Able to work at a fast pace
• Previous cleaning and/or airport experience is preferable
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Ability to quickly and accurately react to any given situation

SECURITY PROCESS TO WORK WITHIN AVIATION AND TRAVEL AT DHL

• You will need a minimum of 3 years UK address history
• Be able to provide 5 years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
• Full UK Driving license
• To obtain a full airside ID
