Job Description

Job Purpose:

To ensure that all aircraft are cleaned and serviced to the highest standard in line with airline and airport safety and hygiene regulations. The Aircraft Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in aircraft cabins, restrooms, and galleys between flights to ensure a pleasant and safe environment for passengers and crew.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean aircraft interiors, including seats, tray tables, carpets, windows, and overhead bins.

Remove rubbish, newspapers, and used catering items from seat pockets and cabin areas. Replenish supplies such as headrest covers, toiletries, blankets, and safety cards. Disinfect lavatories, tray tables, and high-contact surfaces according to cleaning protocols. Vacuum and mop cabin floors and galley areas. Ensure waste is disposed of safely and in accordance with airport waste management procedures. Report any damage, missing items, or suspicious objects to the supervisor or security team. Follow all safety, security, and infection-control regulations at all times. Use approved cleaning materials and equipment correctly and safely. Work efficiently to meet turnaround times between flights. Cooperate with team members and ground staff to ensure smooth aircraft servicing operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred (aviation or transport industry an advantage). Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment. Basic understanding of health and safety standards. Good attention to detail and reliability. Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and public holidays. Physically fit - able to bend, lift, and stand for long periods. Must pass airport security clearance and background checks.

Working Conditions:

Shifts may vary depending on flight schedules. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.
