We are seeking reliable and detail-focused

Temporary Aircraft Cleaning Operatives (Self Employed)

to join our growing team at

Manchester Airport

. This role involves carrying out high-standard cleaning and detailing of both commercial and private aircraft. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, follow aviation cleaning procedures, and be flexible to work on an ad-hoc basis.

Responsibilities

Perform internal and external cleaning of aircraft, including cabins, galleys, lavatories, and cockpits Carry out exterior dry wash, polishing and technical cleaning using aviation-approved products Ensure all cleaning tasks meet aviation safety and presentation standards Follow client instructions and specific job requirements Maintain cleaning equipment and notify management of any issues or resupply needs Work safely and professionally in airside environments, often alongside engineering teams Communicate clearly with the Aero Valet team to coordinate job start times, updates, and completion Represent Aero Valet professionally on every job

Qualifications

Proficiency in English to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients Previous experience in cleaning or detailing (aviation preferred but not essential - training provided) Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality results Ability to work independently or as part of a team in time-sensitive environments

Full UK driving licence (required)

Able to pass a DBS check (required for airside access)

Right to work in the UK & full checkable 5 year employment history. (required)

MEWPS/scissor lift certification (desirable) Self-employed status and ability to invoice for completed work
