To carry out production line fitting of aircraft from detail parts to final installation stages. Working to completion deadlines in accordance with specific instructions and to produce the work on time and to the required standard.
Daily hand skills and techniques will include pitching, drawing, drilling, countersinking, solid riveting and other types of fasteners in accordance with approved design data across detail components and flying control assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
Production line fitting of detail parts or components across the production facility in line with current priorities & deadlines.
Meet and update local KPI's in accordance with the production plan.
Responsible for quality of work, including reporting deviations or issues through the correct communication channels to identify areas of improvement whilst encouraging a JUST culture within production.
Ensure workstations and tooling are kept to a level expected within Health & Safety and CAA compliance.
Interpret BN engineering drawings, escalating process improvements or techniques to develop production capabilities.
Provide training and mentoring to apprentices and other team members (if competent) as required by the Company and ensure that high standards and guidance is always offered to all team members
Reporting of concession or deviation requests to design by the Design Query form.
Report all H&S issues via Centrik system to enable management team to track, monitor and develop shopfloor improvements.
Maintain internal approvals for processes within your remit.
Carry out regular internal audits to ensure production processes and procedures are being followed.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Further education in an aviation or engineering discipline .
Experience in aircraft component manufacture.
Experience interpretating technical drawings.
Good team worker during advanced fitting components.
You must be a decision maker and problem solver with the ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Detailed orientated within quality process is essential.
