Flight Calibration Services Ltd (FCSL) is a privately owned British company with over 15 years of experience in the provision of high quality flight inspection services for airports and aviation authorities world-wide, and more recently has expanded the business into supporting aerial survey work.
We own and operate a fleet of six aircraft, and with a dedicated team of experienced and qualified crew, we support over 90% of the UK civil airports (including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester) each year, whilst rapidly expanding our overseas offerings with contracts currently being delivered across Europe, Middle East, and Asia.
The company employs over 35 full time staff based out of our head office and operational base at Shoreham Airport in West Sussex.
We are currently recruiting for the role of a B1.2 Licenced Aircraft Engineer with experience on General Aviation Aircraft.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will be joining a small team of energetic and dynamic individuals that operate at the hub of the business ensuring that our aircraft remain serviceable and supporting our day-to-day operations around the world.
You will hold a vital hands-on role in the team supporting scheduled maintenance and defect rectification on General Aviation twin piston aircraft, both within our own fleet and 3rd parties.
The role will be carried out largely within the hangar working environment, working around a standard 37.5 hour (0800-1600hrs) working week from Monday to Friday.
Due to the nature of our work, and the need to support our teams deployed internationally, you may be occasionally required to travel at relatively short notice to carry out maintenance in-country, and in addition to work occasional weekends.
Time-Off-In-Lieu (TOIL) can be taken for hours worked over and above your contracted hours.
Experience / Qualifications
The role is suitable for those with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in GA aircraft maintenance, with good practical hand skills & personal hand tools to support the position.
Due to the fast-paced and changing nature of our business, a well-suited candidate will be flexible and comfortable in dealing with changes positively, whilst operating in a very organised, tidy and methodical manner.
Applicants should ideally live within a reasonable commuting distance and hold a full UK driving license, and passport to travel internationally.
You will need to have excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and must be able to work on your own and equally with others as part of a small team.
Basic computer literacy is required in applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
