Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Aircraft Paint Preparation Technician to join our skilled finishing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing general aviation and vintage aircraft, components and fairings for paint, washing aircraft and parts, stripping paint, ensuring surfaces are clean, smooth and ready for high-quantity finishing. You will also help the paint shop run efficiently by documenting work completed and maintaining a clean work environment. Your work will play a key part in delivering exceptional results and maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

-Perform full aircraft surface preparation, including sanding, masking, de-greasing and cleaning.

- Paint strip coatings and treat metal surfaces.

- Prepare composite parts for paint

- Inspect aircraft surfaces and identify areas that require additional preparation

- Work to written and verbal details as well as following paint preparation specifications.

- Ensure all materials and tools are used safely and appropriately maintained.

- Collaborate with painters and engineers to achieve top-quality finishes.

- Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with safety guidelines.

Pay: From 14.00 per hour
