Job Description

As an Airport Engineer, you will work as part of the ESP Global Services team to provide on-site support for all components of the airport passenger processing system within agreed contractual service level agreements at Manchester Airport

Airport Engineer Key Responsibilities:

Carry out regular routine and preventative maintenance as well as "floor-walking" on the range of IT equipment that is used to process passengers within the airport Respond to all customer incidents and service requests passed across by the Global Service Desk and work to agreed SLAs Troubleshoot and resolve all airline host and connectivity issues Maintain a high level of communication at all times with both colleagues and provide timely updates to the Global Service Desk so that progress against each individual incident can be updated as required Identify any spares required and advise the Global Service Desk accordingly to ensure that the customer incident can be updated accordingly

What You Need:

Experience:*At least 2 years' hands-on experience in an IT support role

Languages:

Fluent in English

Technical Skills:*Computer knowledge/understanding of operating systems, Microsoft Desktop Software, practical working knowledge of Network Architecture and IT hardware connectivity, IMAC experience

Certifications:*CompTIA A+ (or willingness to obtain), ITIL knowledge is a plus.

Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities. 5 years of UK working history, which can be referenced for airside clearance checks Full Driving License

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift or push 20-40 kilograms of equipment if needed. Able to stand or kneel for extended periods of time. Able to use mechanical tools.
