Job Description


Alcohol and Drug Test Technician who has an eye for detail, with excellent organisational, time management, customer service and written and verbal communication skills is required for a leading alcohol and drug testing company.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED \xe2\x80\x93 FULL TRAINING PROVIDED

If you\xe2\x80\x99ve worked as a Lab Technician, Lab Assistant, COVID Tester or in a similar role then great. If not, the company will provide full training.

PLEASE NOTE: This job does NOT involve working predominately in a Laboratory, although there may be times when you will need to. You will mostly visit company sites within your designated area to administer Alcohol and Drug Testing on their employees within the workplace.

LOCATION: This is a field based role and you will travel around West Scotland (You must live within 2 hours of Glensanda)

JOB TYPE: Part-Time, Zero Hour Contract

PLEASE NOTE: A Full Driving Licence and Access to a Vehicle is Essential for this role.

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Alcohol and Drug Test Technician who has an eye for detail, with excellent organisational, time management and written and verbal communication skills.

Once fully trained up you will work as an Alcohol and Drug Test Technician visiting various companies within your region and as directed by the Client Services Team to deliver a range of Alcohol and Drug Testing.

As the Alcohol and Drug Test Technician you will need excellent customer service / client facing skills, have a professional approach to your work, have an eye for detail and be able to accurately record the results of each test carried out.

DUTIES

Once trained up your duties as an Alcohol and Drug Test Technician include:

  • Carry out alcohol and drug testing using the relevant paperwork and equipment including alcohol testing; urine or oral fluid drug testing; onsite drug testing; or straight to laboratory drug testing following strict Chain of Custody procedures
  • Carry out alcohol and drug testing in accordance with Company and Client standards
  • Attend various client sites to carry out scheduled and unscheduled testing
  • Ensure arrival on client site within a two-hour timeframe when activated for a call-out
  • Provide administration team weekly availability. Please note that callouts may be offered at short notice, therefore requiring a degree of flexibility with availability
  • Ensure collection of accurate information ensuring accurate completion of protocols and other paperwork
  • Where applicable support the Client Services Team on process improvements
  • To promote the company in a positive way
  • When speaking with clients ensure a professional manner is used
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience within the alcohol and drug industry is not essential as full training is provided for the role
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extremely organised with excellent time management skills
  • Professional, polite with excellent customer service skills
