We are seeking a skilled alterations tailor to join us. You must be able to speak English and have good communication skills.
Responsibilities
Perform alterations on various garments, including suits, dresses, trousers, and shirts, ensuring an impeccable fit. Measure clients accurately to determine the necessary adjustments for optimal fit and comfort. Use sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques to execute alterations and repairs. Consult with clients to understand their preferences and provide recommendations on styles and fits. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available. Keep up-to-date with current fashion trends and techniques to enhance skills and service offerings. Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Requirements
Proficient in English Proven experience as an alterations Tailor Proficient in using sewing machines, hand tools, and various sewing techniques. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills to effectively interact with clients regarding their needs. Knowledge of fabric types and garment construction is highly desirable.
