Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS) leverages the power of academia for real-world impact to transform individuals, organisations and society. This role sits within the Alumni & External Engagement team which is one of the primary external-facing departments within CJBS. The team's functions include Alumni Relations, Events, Development, Stewardship, and managing communications related to these areas. The role holder will ensure students and alumni are well connected to and educated about the alumni network, and nurture and maintain relationships with key alumni volunteers within their region of responsibility, strengthening the global CJBS community of advocates and ambassadors.
We are seeking a proactive and professional individual who thrives in customer-facing roles. Ideally you will have a good understanding of the higher education environment and relevant experience in alumni, student or membership engagements. You will be an effective communicator who understands how to connect different audiences, backed by excellent knowledge of key communication principles. You will also be comfortable managing data and information, with hands-on experience of using databases.
Excellent administration and organisational skills, time management and a working knowledge of events management/coordination are essential for success in this role. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, whilst also building positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, is key. We are looking for someone who is adaptable and solutions-oriented, with a high level of initiative. You should be confident in taking ownership of tasks and projects, and capable of working independently to deliver results.
This role includes occasional out-of-hours work and travel and is temporary cover for a Maternity Leave, therefore the post is fixed-term for 1 year or until the return of the post holder, whichever is earlier.
