The Alvaston Achievers Nursery Officer plays a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. This position requires strong management and leadership skills to oversee nursery operations, ensuring that all activities promote early childhood development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and possess excellent communication skills to engage effectively with both children and parents.
Responsibilities
Manage daily nursery routines, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Being part of a supportive team of nursery staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Planning and implementing educational activities that promote children's physical, emotional, and social development.
Maintaining effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and wellbeing.
Ensuring the Nursery is a safe and welcoming space for all children.
Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adapt activities accordingly.
Collaborate with external agencies as necessary to support children's needs.
Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and incidents.
Requirements
Relevant experience working with children in a Nursery or educational environment.
A qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
A passion for childcare and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
