Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation and administration of anaesthesia for a variety of surgical procedures across different specialties.
Monitor patient vital signs continuously throughout surgical interventions, adjusting anaesthetic levels as necessary.
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement perioperative care plans.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, infection control standards, and legal requirements related to anaesthetic practice.
Maintain accurate documentation of anaesthetic procedures, patient responses, and any adverse events.
Participate in preoperative assessments and postoperative recovery processes to optimize patient outcomes.
Contribute to departmental audits, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development activities.
Requirements
Full registration with the relevant medical council or licensing authority as an Anaesthetics SPR or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience in perioperative medicine and anaesthetic techniques across diverse patient populations.
Strong knowledge of current clinical guidelines, pharmacology, and safety standards related to anaesthesia.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Proven ability to manage complex cases with attention to detail and a focus on patient safety.
