We are looking to expand our team and are searching for a Analytics Manager to join our terrific team on a full time basis
The role is hybrid, visiting our offices in Borehamwood ideally one day per week, and our Paddington office monthly.
Here's what you'll be doing:
As Actuarial Manager, you will have considerable experience of driving growth using data. From formulating the right questions to address business issues to communicating insight and sponsoring effective action.
Understand the business opportunities or challenges and identify pragmatic data-driven initiatives & solutions to tackle them.
Drive your projects from an idea to operational delivery, and be a valuable contributor, leveraging on your skillset, experience and knowledge for all other projects as required.
Work with data wherever it is found and be part of strong contributor to foster a culture of continuous improvement mind-set & transformation through data both through short-term delivery (one-off value) and
longer-term transformation.
Champion data and how it can improve performance.
We expect to act with integrity and ethics at all stage of the data projects and be guarantee of fairness to our customers in all the projects you lead or contribute to.
This role is both strategic and hands-on. Therefore, you must be willing and able to roll you sleeves up and get stuck into to data.
It is also vital that you are confident communicating potentially complex findings in a simple manner at all levels (up to executive management).
What you'll bring:
Strong SQL skills including the ability to write complex queries, ideally with MS T-SQL
Proficient in using Python (as a minimum you should be comfortable using pandas and scikit-learn)
Proven track record in projects that have delivered significant improvement to business profitability through advanced analytics
Experience building and deploying predictive models in a commercial environment
Skilled in applying machine learning techniques to generate actionable insight
Demonstrated ability to deliver insights that drive changes in business strategy through advanced analytics methods
Experience working in Financial Services or Insurance would be beneficial but not essential
Experience of direct and digital marketing, CRM and/or online marketing would be beneficial but not essential
