Amex GBT Analytics team is seeking a talented candidate for the Analytics Manager III role who has a passion for thinking critically, innovating solutions, and strategically guiding the team across multiple projects.
This role will support our Client Services team working closely with the analytics team, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers in bringing data to life and influencing decisions to help deliver results. This role will require prior experience working through complex business problems with internal teams using a consultative approach. Additionally, the role would require excellent communications, presentation skills and be able to work with ambiguity and having the ability to define, think creatively, and to tackle problems.

What you will do
Passionate story-telling and bring data to life through close partnership with key stakeholders.
Become the subject matter expert in data, metrics, and reporting for the team. Help define and collaborate on recent trends and drive improvement.
Work across the wider analytics team to ensure visions are aligning and coordinating roadmaps by working closely with other team members to enable and tracking progress appropriately.
Explore new areas and opportunities in in data, processes, visualization, or other areas of the solution to expand and build holistic solutions.
Work on projects end-to-end and directly with leadership and stakeholders.
Deep dive in the data with special projects to perform analysis and thought leadership with data-driven insights to support strategic decisions.
Convey through advanced analytical techniques into concise and persuasive insights and recommendations for audiences of all levels.
Work closely with our call center team to understand metric sensitivity, financial benefits, time efficiency gains and optimizations and measurements of success indicators.
Keep aligned to wider analytics teams, dashboarding, and analysis, to make sure we are maintaining consistency and awareness across teams.
What you will bring
5+ years of work experience in a business environment with an analytics background.
Relevant Master's degree with the combination of a Business degree or any of the following fields: Machine Learning or computer science, statistics, mathematics with strong understanding of business and ML.
Understanding of Machine Learning models and techniques, advanced analytics and statistical methods to solve business problems.
Very strong programming background and expertise in using SQL.
Usage in Visualization tools, such as Tableau recommended.
Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and be able to handle ambiguity.
Sharp focus on results and strong attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills.
Experience working in Salesforce reporting.
