Job Overview:

The Maples are looking to recruit a team member with experience across the ancillary departments (LAUNDRY AND DOMESTIC DEPARTAMENT) .

It is a contracted vacancy (24 hours per week but the applicant must be flexible and able to do overtime to cover holidays and absence where required)

Domestic Assistant: required to clean bathrooms, toilets, bedrooms and communal areas following infection and control procedures, the role will also require some laundry work to cover annual leave and sickness. in a residential care home for elderly people who have a dementia type illness.

Laundry Assistant : You'll help to make sure our residents receive quality care and support in the best possible surroundings. By making sure each resident has clean clothing and bedding, you'll be playing your own part in helping everyone to feel comfortable and at home. Requirements:

-Flexibility - this post is not a set rota and we are not able to offer set days.
-Candidate must have the ability to work during the festive season, bank holidays etc.
- Previous experience in a similar role within a care home environment is desirable but not compulsory.
- Knowledge of different fabrics and their care requirements
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Time management skills

You must be flexible and able to work weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.
