Based at our Brooksby Campus

The SMB Group is a highly successful FE college, formed through the merger of Stephenson College and Brooksby Melton College. We are an innovative and highly responsive centre for education and training with campuses in Coalville, Melton Mowbray and Brooksby.


We have exciting opportunities for two full time Animal Care Technicians to join the team based in Brooksby, working on fixed term contracts to cover maternity leave. Working in these roles you will maintain a high standard of animal husbandry and contribute to the curriculum needs of the Animal Care department. Working alongside a team of hard working and dedicated unit staff these roles will also include interaction with students on a practical basis. Working with a wide variety of animal species these jobs require applicants with broad animal experience. The jobs are an exciting opportunity for candidates to support the growth and development of the College's practical Animal Care facilities.


Working days are Mon - Friday for Role 1 and Tuesday - Friday for Role 2 Both successful candidates are expected to work weekends on a rota basis, 1:4 half days Sat and Sun, with 1 x day TOIL the following week.
