Are you looking for a new challenge in an environment where no two days are the same?

We are seeking an enthusiastic, confident, flexible and self-motivated individual to join our extremely busy Animal & Environmental Protection team. You will be part of a team whose work includes the collection and transportation of stray dogs, responding to complaints of dog related issues such as dog fouling and dog on dog attacks. You will also be responsible for helping to promote responsible dog ownership within borough through social media and engagement events. In addition to this, you will assist with investigating unlicensed animal activities such as dog breeding and animal boarding. You will also be expected to take part in the out of hours stray dog service.

The team is committed to providing an excellent service to our residents, the business community and our partners. Applicants must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to be able to deal with a wide range of customers in different and at times challenging situations. It is essential you are experienced and confident in handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments. You must have a \'can do\' work attitude, be self-motivated and willing to get involved in different work streams and take initiative. You will be expected to take responsibility for a varied caseload and be committed to team working.
