Your role will be to contribute towards the delivery of an ambitious curriculum via the maintenance of an outstanding realistic environment for our animal management learners. You will be responsible for the daily care of the animal collection and the support of practical teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily care, feeding, and enrichment for a diverse animal collection.
Monitor animal health and welfare, supporting student learning opportunities.
Assist with veterinary care and transport animals when needed.
Prepare the unit for practical teaching sessions and support learners during husbandry activities.
Maintain enclosures and equipment, ensuring a safe and clean environment.
Supervise work experience students and contribute to staff training.
Represent the department at internal and external events.
Maintain records, manage stock, and support curriculum delivery.
