Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dedicated team of midwives overseeing the National Antenatal and Newborn Screening Programmes at Sherwood Forest Hospitals.



Our well-established screening team is committed to ensuring women and babies receive the highest standard of care. We are looking for a motivated and experienced midwife to take on a senior role as Joint Lead for Screening Programmes, influencing care pathways and driving best practice across the Trust.

About the Role



Provide professional leadership and expert advice across antenatal and newborn screening programmes.



Work collaboratively with midwifery colleagues, support workers, obstetric and paediatric consultants, and external agencies.



Deliver a varied role combining office-based responsibilities with clinical care.



Key duties include:



Teaching and training staff.



Developing and implementing care pathways in line with national recommendations.



Failsafe processes, report writing, and day-to-day administrative tasks.



Clinical care for women with positive screening results, including arranging pathways and supporting those opting for pregnancy termination.
