Job Description
Established in 1979, Lots Road Auctions run weekly Sunday sales selling a mix of antique and contemporary pieces across our huge 30,000 sq ft showroom in Fulham. We are a tight knit team with many members of staff working with us for more than 20 years.
Our porters are integral to the smooth day to day running of the saleroom. It is a physically demanding job so you will need to be physically fit and able to lift whilst having a friendly and personable temperament - happy to help customers and to work as a team to help each other.
This is a Saturday/Sunday/Wednesday role so you MUST be happy working weekends. There may be the potential for additional hours during the week to cover week staff absence.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
Taking in deliveries & ensuring paperwork is checked & items are checked for damage
Putting items together as required
Arranging items in the saleroom to look pleasing aesthetically in a safe manner ensuring health & safety guidelines are adhered to
Ensuring the saleroom & associated storage areas are kept neat and tidy with gangways clear
Ensuring all items are tagged with their correct label and placed correctly in the system
Assisting with collections - ensuring paperwork is correct and items are checked out on the system, locating items and helping customers safely get their items out of the building
Liaising with valuations on re-offers and arranging accordingly
Liaising with buyers & vendors on collections and deliveries as required
Promoting the good name of the auction house and encouraging customer reviews

Wednesday 10am - 6pm (1 hr lunch), Saturday 10am - 6pm (30 min lunch), Sunday 10am - 6pm (30 min lunch)
