Job Description

Following retirement Wilbys are seeking an experienced Antiques Valuer/Sale Room Manager. Primarily based at our offices in Barnsley with the sales located at Worsborough, this is a full-time position in a department we are looking to expand. The work includes:

Organising, cataloguing and auctioneering at our monthly Antiques and Collectables Sale together with periodic specialist sales.

Organisation of house clearances and storage prior to sale

Managing aftersales paperwork

Valuations for Sale which will include home visits, site visits and appraisals in the office.

Probate Valuations

Insurance Valuations

In return for your commitment, we will support your ambitions and give you the scope to grow your role and progress within the firm. The position includes a competitive salary together with a car or car allowance as preferred.

All professional subscriptions will be covered by Wilbys. Professional qualifications are not a necessity for this role however as a firm our policy is to encourage and support any employee who wishes to undertake further training.
