Duties
Install smoke ventilation systems (roof vents, wall vents/dampers, control panels, actuators, etc.) in new and existing buildings.
Wire and connect control systems, smoke detectors, and manual override switches.
Test systems to ensure full functionality and compliance with BS EN12101 and other relevant standards.
Commission smoke vent systems and provide detailed handover reports and certification.
Perform routine planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on smoke ventilation control systems.
Conduct fault-finding diagnostics and repairs on malfunctioning systems.
Replace or upgrade components such as motors, actuators, control panels, and sensors.
Ensure all systems remain compliant with legal fire and smoke safety standards. Complete service reports, risk assessments, and maintenance logs accurately and on time.
Responsible for quality of workmanship
High standard of health and safety must be adhered too.
Regular safety checks on equipment
