Application Solution Architect





Location:

UK SCC Office

(SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)





Contract Type:

Permanent





Salary Package:

80,000 - 90,000

plus large company benefits, a broad flexible benefits scheme, and 2 paid-for volunteering days a year





Hours:

9.00 am - 5.30 pm Monday - Friday

Role purpose:



Responsible for the architectural design and development of software applications, ensuring alignment with business/customer goals.



To lead the design, development, and implementation of software development programmes, ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable, maintainable, and reliable.



Key responsibilities:


Lead the architectural design of software applications Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements Oversee the development of application solutions Ensure adherence to best practices Mentor and guide team members Ensure applications are scalable, maintainable, and secure Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies Provide technical direction to the development team including ensuring they are developed in accordance with architectural standards Develop and maintain architectural documentation Ensure applications meet performance, reliability and governance standards

Skills and experience:


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field or industry qualifications (advantageous but not necessary) Demonstrable experience in application architecture Proficiency in multiple programming languages Strong understanding of software development methodologies and cloud technologies Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong leadership and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Must be able to obtain the Government and/or Police Security levels required in order to meet the operational requirements of the role (no caveats) and as per the requirements stipulated in relevant customer contracts.
