The role

As an Application Support Analyst, you\'ll have a role that\'s out of the ordinary. You will provide high-quality support and expertise for the operation of the Bristol-based IT data centres, specializing in maintaining Microsoft SQL databases and associated services for our high availability web hosted applications.

Day to day, you\'ll work as part of a team to support monitoring, patching, deploying updates, and backups/restores for SQL databases and related services.

  • Provide 3rd Line support whilst specialising in maintaining high availability of SQL databases and associated SQL services for core hosted applications.
  • Be responsible for performing routine and bespoke backups and restores of SQL databases to ensure data security and protection.
  • Occasionally cover other general infrastructure duties such as server build, network and Firewall support, storage management, and backup/recovery tasks.
  • Assist developers with queries, tuning, and schema refinement.
Essential experience of the Application Support Analyst:
  • Experience in supporting SQL databases and associated SQL services in a complex and demanding environment.
This is a full-time, permanent, on-site role where you will be required to work at our Keynsham site 4-5 days a week.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance level for this role.
