CPG Logistics is a long-established company based in Fareham Reach, Gosport, in Hampshire, providing logistics services since 1978. CPG operates from state-of-the-art warehouses and is recognised as one of the UK's foremost solution providers for both specialist logistics services and supply chain management. We provide exceptional service to our customers and the majority of our new business is through recommendation or internal growth with companies.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced an Application Support Engineer to support our IT team.

The IT team are fast paced and not one day is the same, the work is extremely rewarding whilst maintaining a good work/life balance.

The role requires travel to the central office and the occasional out of hours callout. As such candidates will need to be within commuting distance.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support and Troubleshooting System Maintenance and Upgrades User Support and Training Collaboration and Continuous Improvement Monitoring and Reporting Documentation and Compliance Ensure applications comply with industry regulations, security standards, and internal policies.

Experience required in the following:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a relevant experience. Proven experience in IT application support, ideally within the logistics or supply chain sector. Familiarity with logistics applications such as WMS, TMS, or ERP systems. Strong knowledge of databases (SQL), operating systems and application monitoring tools. Knowledge of ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.

Desirable:

Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and SaaS-based logistics solutions. Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell). Knowledge of Java, SAP, Linux would be advantageous. Understanding of data integrations such as EDI or APIs for logistics applications.

Additional Information

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
