Overview

Oriens Maintenance Services Ltd is pleased to be offering the position of Apprentice Aircraft Maintenance Technician, here with us at London Biggin Hill Airport.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn and develop skills in aircraft maintenance, working with all levels of fixed wing aircraft in a bespoke, high end, high demand environment. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with both hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Reports directly to the Certifying Staff. Carries out tasks as instructed and requested. Takes an active interest in ALL aspects of aircraft maintenance, asks questions and pays attention to all surrounding activity. Reports all work carried out and updates Certifying Staff or delegated engineer with progress. Will have excellent time keeping discipline. Will raise questions immediately if there is any doubt or confusion over requested tasks. Understands Human Factors and is knowledgeable of basic H & S working practices. Supports continuous improvement investigations and root cause analysis investigations as requested to reduce quality escapes and COPQ. Delivers strategic projects as defined by the Hangar Manager. Carries out any reasonable request by the Certifying Staff or Hangar Manager.

Experience

Computer literate Read & write in fluent English Must have GCSE grades 4 or above in Maths, English & Science to be considered
