Our Big Top Nursery based in Waddesdon Aylesbury is looking for an apprentice to join our team.


The ideal candidate must:


Be warm, friendly and patient. Be able to work as part of a team and be able to use your own initiative. Support the team with planning and have the confidence to carry out activities with children. A confident communicator.

No previous childcare experience is required but you must be willing to learn as you will be working and completing a qualification at the same time.

You will be working towards either your Level 2 Early Years Practitioner or Level 3 Early Years Educator Qualification, attending monthly online sessions with your assessor. You must ensure your deadlines for assignment submissions are met on time. During your apprenticeship you will be supported and guided by the management team and your mentor, while you train and learn on the job.


40 hours a week Monday-Friday working alternating weekly shifts of either 7:30am-4:30pm or 9:00am-6:00pm, 51 weeks of the year. Due to the location of our setting and the infrequency of public transport, applicants must have access to a car.

Permanent employment may be available at the end of your apprenticeship. Current qualified vacancies are offered to apprentices on completion of your qualification, before external advertisement.
