2x Apprentice Business Administrator (Monday to Friday 10am-6.30pm)

Princes Gardens Surgery is a GP practice in Aldershot with a growing practice population of 13,000 patients. We are committed to delivering excellent patient care in innovative ways. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated apprentice to join our administrative team.
THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME
During your apprenticeship you will learn to how to:
Provide administration for doctors and the practice manager
Photocopy and scan documentation
Provide accurate data entry Learn the key
Practice procedures
Liaise with other health professionals
Work on short projects as part of your apprenticeship training programme.
Provide administrative workflow
Book, maintain and monitor the Practice's appointment system
Process face to face, telephone and e-requests for appointments
Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately
Deal with requests from patients, team members and external agencies
Follow up with patients chronic illness reviews Read code data on the electronic patient record system EMIS.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
There will be lots of support for your training, however this will be your training programme. We want this programme to be successful, so to ensure success we want you to:
Strive to achieve your best and understand the pass to distinction grade outcomes available for your apprenticeship
Take responsibility for reflecting on your own learning needs and prioritising these as part of your training schedule
Ensure you have an excellent attendance record to enable you to take full advantage of the training, to support the achievement of your apprenticeship
Ensure timely and accurate completion of modules and assignments, striving for the best quality by seeking advice and support from your mentors
Attend and fully participate in all learning activities scheduled, even if they are in addition to the minimum off-the-job training requirement
Seek clarification immediately where tasks or subjects are unclear, to ensure you don' fall behind with your learning schedule
Participate in English and maths tests at the start of the programme Achieve the Level 2 Functional Skills qualifications in maths and English if required
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
An apprenticeship within the NHS is a fantastic opportunity, whether this is going to be your first job, a career change or return to the workplace. In our selection process we want you to demonstrate:
Enthusiasm to learn new skills within the health sector
Problem-solving skills - for example how you manage through conflicting priorities on your time
Attention to detail and quality of work Integrity and reliability, including an understanding of what confidentiality means whilst working in a GP Practice
Understanding of, and commitment to equality of opportunity and good working relationships Basic knowledge of IT packages such as Outlook, Word, Excel and MS Teams English and Maths GCSE grade C/Level 4 or equivalent qualifications like Functional Skills at Level 2 are desirable
Previous level 2 or equivalent qualifications, or equivalent previous experience is also desirable
TO START AN APPRENTICESHIP YOU MUST BE:
Age 16 or over
Living in England
Not in full-time education
Must have the right to live and work in the UK
