About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Business Analyst team. This position is an excellent opportunity for anyone who is eager to kickstart their career in business analysis while working towards a Level 4 Business Analyst apprenticeship.

As an Apprentice Business Analyst, you will work closely with experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience, develop analytical skills, and contribute to Wren\'s success. This position will help you develop strong communication skills and business awareness as you work alongside Stakeholders, Product Owners and our Software Development teams.

During the 18 month apprenticeship, you will spend time in various business areas to understand our culture, analyse and investigate business processes, and develop the following skills:

  • Data Analysis: Assist in gathering and analysing data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions, with a particular focus on IT-related data sets.
  • Documentation: Collaborate with multiple business areas to document business processes, requirements, and record user stories in a clear and organised manner, ensuring seamless communication between departments.
  • Requirements Gathering: Conduct meetings and workshops with stakeholders from various departments, including IT, to elicit and document business requirements, with a strong emphasis on aligning IT solutions with business needs.
  • Reporting: Create and maintain reports and dashboards that not only track key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics, but also provide IT-specific insights for technology-related projects and initiatives.
  • Problem Solving: Collaborate with software development teams to identify and address business challenges by proposing effective technical solutions, bridging the gap between business goals and IT capabilities.
  • Training and Development: Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities related to IT processes, systems, and methodologies, enhancing your ability to facilitate effective communication between business and IT stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Communication: Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation that not only communicate findings and recommendations effectively but also ensure that IT teams have clear, actionable insights into business needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT developers, project managers, and stakeholders, to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions into the broader business strategy.
  • Agile and Scrum: Learn to operate as an effective member of both an established Agile department, and a Scrum team, and collaborate to improve product and process quality inside the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
The role is based fully on-site at our Head Office in Barton-Upon-Humber.
