We are currently recruiting a
Carpentry & Joinery Apprentice
to join a large new-build construction site in
Hammersmith & Fulham
. This opportunity is open
only to residents of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham
as part of a local Section 106 employment scheme.
What You'll Do:
Work under the supervision of skilled tradespeople on a live construction site
Assist with installation of timber structures, fixtures, and fittings as part of a new build development
Learn how to read technical drawings and accurately measure, cut, and fix materials
Follow daily site tasks, safety guidance, and construction timelines
Work outdoors in varied conditions, sometimes at height
Complete the work-based learning required for your Level 2 Carpentry & Joinery qualification
Maintain good attendance, punctuality, and professionalism throughout
Use provided tools and PPE (issued free of charge)
What We're Looking For:
Aged 18 or over (no upper age limit)
Resident of the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (essential)
Strong work ethic and commitment to completing an apprenticeship
Good communication and ability to work with a diverse team
Good attention to detail and practical thinking
Manual/on-site experience preferred (Skills Centre experience accepted)
CSCS card required
Working towards or completed a
Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry & Joinery
GCSEs or equivalent in
English and Maths
preferred
Reference from a college tutor or previous supervisor
Pay:
12.25 per hour
490 per week
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 (40 hours per week)
Work-based training on a new-build site
Free tools and PPE
Mentoring and support from supervisors and training partners
Opportunity for continued employment as an improver upon qualification
