Job Description

Your Retreats is a builder and distributor of holiday park lodges and residential park homes. They have been operating for 3 years, and the business is experiencing high levels of growth. The Apprentice will learn all aspects of the carpentry & joinery requirements when building a park lodge construction, this will include many aspects off site joinery door casing installations, kitchen installs, actual structural joinery as needed within the specifications of building a park lodge.

Job Role

An apprentice supports skilled carpenters by performing tasks such as measuring and cutting materials, assembling structures, and installing components like doors, windows, staircases, floor joists, hinges and all other tasks relevant to the trade. Handling, maintaining and storing construction tools and materials. Preparing and organised work site Working with instructions/drawings and plans to meet customer specifications and requirements. Adhering to all health and safety requirements on site and adhering to the employers' health and safety procedures. Will be required to keep the work area clean for the trades people and be ready to start at the bottom and work alongside their mentors to build experience skills and knowledge.

Required Skills & Personal Qualities

Technically minded Previous experience such as DIY with family/friends etc. (ideal) Passionate for pursuing a trade career Excellent work ethic demonstrated by any previous work experience of any type

Working Schedule

Monday-Thursday: 07:30-16:30

Friday: 07:30-13:30

Qualifications

Level 1 in Carpentry

GCSE Maths: Grade 3 (or equivalent)

GCSE English: Grade 3 (or equivalent)
