Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Carpenter Apprentice to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to develop their skills in carpentry and gain hands-on experience in the construction industry. As a Carpenter Apprentice, you will work under the guidance of experienced carpenters, assisting with various tasks and learning the trade. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build a solid foundation in carpentry while contributing to exciting projects.

Responsibilities

MUST HAVE DRIVING LICENCE

Assist skilled carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. Help assemble components such as frames, roofs, and walls according to specifications. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks. Participate in painting and finishing work to ensure high-quality results. Learn masonry techniques and assist with related tasks as required. Support joinery work by helping to fabricate custom pieces and fittings. Aid in plumb work to ensure structures are level and properly aligned. Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills

Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry. Basic knowledge of electrical systems is advantageous but not essential. Understanding of roofing techniques is beneficial for specific projects. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately. Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to carpentry and construction. Good physical stamina, as the role requires standing for long periods and lifting materials when necessary. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members on-site.
