Duties



Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Follow food safety regulations and hygiene practices to ensure a safe working environment. Support senior chefs in menu planning and food production processes. Participate in inventory management, including stock rotation and ordering supplies as needed. Supervise junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service delivery. Contribute creative ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing menu items.

Qualifications



Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for culinary arts is key. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is highly desirable. Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate team members effectively. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality. A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences. Willingness to learn new techniques and expand culinary knowledge through hands-on experience.

Duties



Assist the Back-of-House Manager in planning and directing food preparation and production activities. Ensure that all food served meets quality standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Oversee kitchen staff, providing guidance and support in food preparation and cooking techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety protocols. Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative menu items that reflect current trends. Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and minimising waste. Train new kitchen staff on proper cooking methods and safety practices. Help develop seasonal menus that highlight fresh ingredients while considering customer preferences.

Experience



Proven experience in a culinary role within a hospitality setting, preferably as a Head Chef or similar position. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary trends, and food production processes. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools, along with an understanding of food safety regulations. Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.
