The Hyde Dendy is a traditional pub based in Paignton, Devon Based just across the road from the beach and only a stones throw from the pier it makes a great place for food or a drink. The Hyde Dendy is the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing pint and tasty meal.Located on the fun filled Paignton Sea Front we are surrounded by some of Torbays best family attractions including The Pier, The Vue Cinema, Torbay Geopark and much more.Getting to us will never be a problem with Paignton Bus Station and Train Station just around the corner List of duties:




Food Preparation - Assist with prepping fresh ingredients, from vegetables to proteins, ensuring high-quality standards. Cooking & Plating - Support the chefs in cooking dishes to perfection and plating them beautifully. Maintaining Cleanliness & Hygiene - Follow food safety standards, keeping work areas clean and organised. Assisting with Specials & Seasonal Menus - Contribute to the creation of daily and weekly specials using the best local ingredients. Learning & Development - Work alongside experienced chefs, gaining hands-on experience and developing new skills. Stock Management & Rotation - Help with stock control, ensuring ingredients are fresh and stored correctly. Teamwork & Communication - Work efficiently as part of a busy kitchen team, supporting colleagues during service. Ensuring Consistency & Quality - Follow recipes


Hours: 40.00 per week

Requirements and Prospects:


Basic Knife Skills ideally - Some experience handling kitchen knives Attention to Hygiene & Cleanliness - Understanding the importance of keeping a clean and safe kitchen.


Reliable Works well with others Good communication skills Adaptable Passion for delivering good service


Progression within the Company for the right candidate. This qualification also gives you excellent transferable skills you can apply to all roles.



Training Provided:


Level 2 Professional Chef qualification.
Attendance at College one day a week for theory and practical knowledge. Skills officer visits to workplace 6-8 weeks.
