Marc Macauley Catering is seeking a passionate and reliable Apprentice Chef to join our dedicated events team. This is an exciting opportunity to train alongside skilled professionals while gaining hands-on experience in high-end wedding and event catering. You will support with food preparation, logistics, and service delivery across a variety of unique venues, helping create memorable dining experiences for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist chefs in preparing fresh, seasonal menus tailored to weddings and events Help with food prep, plating, and packing for off-site catering Set up and break down kitchen stations at event locations Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with food safety regulations Support the team with loading, unloading, and transport of equipment Work collaboratively in fast-paced environments, adapting to each unique event Follow instructions and health & safety practices both in our production kitchen and on location Attend training sessions and work toward completion of your apprenticeship goals

Requirements:

A keen interest in food, hospitality, and event catering Willingness to learn and take on new challenges Professionalism and a strong team ethic Good communication and time management skills Physically able to assist with setting up catering equipment and working long hours during events Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and variable hours depending on event schedules Previous kitchen or hospitality experience (desirable, but not essential) A full UK driving licence (preferred but not required)
