About the Role
We're looking for a motivated, friendly, and community-minded individual to join our team at Hadston House as a Customer Service Apprentice. You'll gain real experience in a busy, award-winning community hub while working towards a nationally recognised qualification delivered by Derwentside College.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in customer service, administration, and community engagement while making a real difference to local people. You'll also benefit from working alongside an experienced team, including a previous apprentice who can offer guidance and support.
Main Duties
As part of the team, you'll be involved in a wide range of activities, including:
Designing engaging posts and graphics for social media
Answering telephones and handling public enquiries
Supporting the admin and reception teams
Assisting with community sessions for older people and young people
Helping to plan and deliver events and fundraising activities
Recording data, preparing presentations, and supporting diary management
Keeping the centre clean, tidy, and welcoming for visitors
Bringing your own ideas and enthusiasm to help us grow our impact
What We're Looking For?
A genuine interest in community work and helping others
Professional and confident communication skills (face-to-face and written)
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality
Friendly, fun, and approachable personality
Good IT skills (especially Google Workspace tools)
Motivated to work hard and complete your apprenticeship
Respectful, polite, and a positive team player
Must be able to pass an enhanced DBS check
Good standard of English and Maths
