This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants.

This is a fixed term post for 3 years.

We are looking for a creative and motivated Apprentice to help drive our social media presence and showcase the great work being done across the city.

This role is perfect for someone passionate about digital content, communications, and community engagement.

What You'll Be Doing:

Managing social media - Updating and promoting Highway projects, achievements, and community initiatives across multiple platforms. Creating newsletters & communications - Developing engaging content to inform residents, councillors, and stakeholders. Capturing and sharing success stories - Gathering updates, images, and videos from the team to showcase our work. Supporting AI-driven data collection - Assisting in the rollout of innovative technology to improve network efficiency.

Engaging with stakeholders - Liaising with the public, elected members, and internal teams to ensure clear and positive communication.



What We're Looking For:

A passion for social media, marketing, or communications. Strong written and verbal communication skills. An interest in local infrastructure and community engagement. Enthusiasm to learn and contribute to a busy team.
