Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Person to join our dental practice as an Apprentice Dental Nurse. No prior experience is required but you must be enthusiastic and hard working. Full training will be given including a training course that will lead to a Dental Nursing qualification. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting dentists during clinical procedures and ensuring patients receive exceptional care. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about patient care and looking to develop their skills within a professional healthcare environment. The role requires strong organisational abilities, effective communication, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Duties

Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise instruments in accordance with infection control protocols Provide pre- and post-treatment care instructions to patients Manage patient records accurately using IT systems and ensure confidentiality at all times Support patients by answering questions, explaining procedures, and offering reassurance Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked clinical environment Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice Support administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and liaising with patients as needed

Qualifications

GCSE Grade 4 or higher in Maths, English and Science Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and appointment systems Ability to work well within a team and demonstrate professionalism at all times
